Pathways announced a $6M seed round in October 2026, led by Sorenson Capital. Pi Labs, Zacua Ventures, Blue Lion, Positive Ventures, and Great Wave also participated, alongside strategic investors Titan Ventures and Heidelberg Materials. Total funding since the company’s 2023 launch is now $10M.
Pathways starts with Environmental Product Declarations, independently verified documents reporting a product’s environmental impact. Producing one has traditionally been slow and costly. One report puts the cost at upwards of $20,000 per product and the timeline at six to twelve months, much of it spent gathering data from production logs, utility bills, and supplier invoices.
Pathways uses AI agents to collect, read, and structure that data, including PDFs, scanned invoices, and spreadsheets. It connects directly to the systems that already hold the information and supports the life cycle assessments behind EPDs. A customer quoted in coverage said data modeling that once took weeks now takes days.
Demand is rising as procurement rules change. Coverage cites State Buy Clean laws, the EU’s Construction Products Regulation, and carbon border tariffs as pushing manufacturers to document their footprint before they can bid.
Pathways’ largest contract, with investor Heidelberg Materials, is reportedly worth more than $1M and spans sites in North America, Europe, and Australia. Pi Labs’ Faisal Butt, who first backed the company in 2024, said the firm is doubling down as Pathways scales. Contract and customer details are company-reported.
