Lightsprint announced $6.1M in seed funding on October 14, 2026. 645 Ventures led the round. January Capital, Rebel Fund, Fjor, Sterling Road, and angel investors, including Kaz Nejatian also participated.

The San Francisco company builds a platform for product managers, designers, and business teams to build features and ship code directly within their company’s existing codebase. It offers a cloud-based interface where non-engineers can collaborate on software development by planning, testing, and previewing code changes. Engineering teams retain control over the process.

Benjamin Ong, Benedict Chan, and Heng Hong Lee founded Lightsprint in 2026, and the company emerged from the Y Combinator Spring 2026 batch.

The new capital will go toward expanding the enterprise-ready product and growing the engineering and go-to-market teams.
