Beltic announced a $7.3M Seed round on September 30, 2026, as it came out of stealth. Norwest led the round, with Restive Ventures, Oxford Seed Fund, and Collide Capital participating. Collide also led an earlier $1.5M pre-seed that included Latitud Ventures, Positive Ventures, and angel investors. Including that round, Beltic has raised $8.8M in total.
Founded in 2025, Beltic builds infrastructure that verifies AI agents and authorizes their actions. The company calls this "Know Your Agent," or KYA, the agent-era counterpart to Know Your Customer checks in financial services. Its premise is that merchants, payment providers, financial institutions, and card networks need a reliable way to confirm that an agent acting on someone's behalf is actually authorized to do so.
Beltic says verification has to cover three things in real time: identifying the agent, verifying the entity behind it, and determining whether each action is authorized. The platform works on both sides of a transaction, helping companies accept agent traffic and send their own agents out. It is designed to work across protocols and payment rails.
The company also points to agent-to-agent transactions. CEO Isha Bhatnagar notes that agents often call other agents and hand work to systems they don't own. Each handoff is a delegation event where trust assumptions reset, and Beltic says it is working on verification for those chains.
The team brings identity, payments, and data experience. Bhatnagar spent six years at Coinbase building identity and onboarding infrastructure for more than 50 million users. Co-founder Mike Allan previously founded Atar, a banking-as-a-service provider acquired by Porto Seguro. CTO Farhan Afsahi co-founded Verifiet, which Beltic acquired in 2025, giving it entity data covering more than 500 million entities.
Norwest's Jordan Leites described Beltic as building a verification layer for a world where money moves in real time. Beltic is now recruiting design partners in agentic commerce and payments, who get early access and a say in the standards.
